Between 2005 and 2009 Felix Kaup worked with the Alensys AG in international project development and consulting. He managed a PPP-Project with the objective of setting up a Biofuel-Center and an affiliated small-scale biodiesel plant in South Africa. At the same time he worked for the Federal Association of Biogenic and Renewable Fuels as an employee for international relations. He completed his business administration diploma at the ‘Freie Universität' Berlin in 2003. His thesis on biodiesel production in Germany was published by the Diplomica publishing company. Since October 2009 he is employed at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research working within a trans- and interdisciplinary research team at a project called "Biofuel as Social Fuel?”. He is writing his PhD thesis at the Institute for Latin America Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.
