Worked 10 years in the chemical industry before he joined KEMA.

KEMA; Manager Business Development. Since 1990 working in the field of renewables as manager sustainable energy and senior consultant for a series of projects concerning co-firing in coal fired power plants.

Author of a large number of presentations about Biomass pretreatment and (co-)combustion. From 1998 till 2004 member of the board of the Branche organization for Bioenergy (Platform bioenergy).

From 2004- 2008 vice chairman of the NWEA, the branch organization for Windenergy in the Netherlands.

More recently as executive consultant responsible for Torrefaction, biomass pretreatment, co-firing and certification of the sustainability of biomass
